LETTERATURE

Andrew Porter notes that SF Chronicle is still interested in
Australian Science Fiction information and notes "...those who want
a wider audience for their sales, or especially new publications,
should e-mail me at <sfchr...@dnapublications.com> with full
details, especially including ISBN, price in Australian and/or US
dollars, and ordering address, website or actual address, and other
info. SFC is now going to all SF-acquiring libraries, plus SF
buyers at chain stores and SF-stores; the circulation is now more
than 10,000, much more than Locus's."

Andrew also comments on the changes to U.S. Postal charges
that have made it virtually impossible for Australian subscribers
to afford SFC. He quotes airmail subscription rates at $US125,
which translates to $A250 or more. Nope. I don't think there will
be many Australian subscribers...

Apart from his delightful Swancon report Chuck McKenzie
writes "Just a quick email to clarify a point made by Rose Mitchell
in the Freecon report printed in the most recent edition of the
Bullsheet. While it was very nice of her to attribute organisation
of the entire Freecon program to my good self, the fact is that I
was only in charge of organising those panels involving the various
writers and artists who attended. The rest of the program - and the
layout of the program as a whole - should really be attributed to
Gary Dalrymple, John August, and the other members of the Freecon
committee, who did a fine job of both coming up with a workable and
wide-ranging program, and of setting up replacement items for the
couple of panels that inevitably fell through the net.

OTHER STUFF

Marilyn Fuller, assistant editor of Neverworlds notes "We
publish speculative fiction, movie reviews, horror, hard SF, some
poetry, and artwork by new and established authors and artists.
We've been around since 1998, and were named in this January's
Writers Digest as one of the top fifty places to get published
online. We'd really like to increase the presence of Australian SF
on our website. http://www.neverworlds.com"

I took a brief look at their site and noted that they do
pay for material used, and so it's another market to look at.
