" No Bed In Brisbane for Injured Traveller"
Troy Raymond Ellis, 36 is in a coma after suffering serious head injuries in
a fight in central Bangkok on Christmas Day.
Mr Ellis has been on life support in the intensive care ward at Bangkok' s
Bumrungrad Hospital for several weeks.
He is believed to have been hit on the head with a full beer bottle during
the brawl.
Mr Ellis is a former Army reservist who worked in the computer business, he
was due to be flown to Sydney last night on a Thai Airways flight.
Hospital sources said Mr Ellis was being sent to Sydney because Australian
Consular Officials were unable to find a medical unit in or around Brisbane
willing or able to take him.
A spokesman for the Australian Embassy in Bangkok confirmed that assistance
had been provided to Mr Ellis and his family, but said they were unable to
reveal details because of privacy laws.

The assailant was a German FYI.
It is said. However the boys in brown were glad to get rid of Troy
as that was not the only incident. Another took place Dec 20 at Klong

home from hospital. Yes, an uncle again, but I'm assuming they'll all
