Found the new website for MTR 1377 (3MP easy listening will still be
available on digital radio only ~ to be known as " My MP".

http://www.melbournetalkradio.com.au/home.html

Guess it won't be very long now.......

BTW, My MP could be confused with the website for your local Aussie
politician:

http://alpha.mymp.com.au/

or the acronym "Make your momma proud" ~! ☻

Thanks Uncle Wal.

Frankly the new digital channel "My MP" is the first new digital
station (besides some of the ABC's extra stations) that I'd ever
consider listening to. It sounds pretty good, although I miss the
waffle of live presenters. I reckon it would go down well as
background music in the shops or at a party.

It seems MTR will go live to air next month. And at least the
breakfast, morning, and drive slots will be local ... hopefully more.

Bring it on!

We have far too many music stations, and not enough alternatives as
far as talk radio goes.

Hopefully MTR will offer us something better than 3AW's Keith MacGowan
Overnight. It shouldn't be too difficult. Almost anyone would give
the average listener a better opportunity to get to air than the lazy
Keith does. His program comes across as a small get together of his
approved friends.

I'm not a big fan of Keith's.

Simon Owens deserves a permanent spot overnight, instead of just
"filling in" as far as I'm concerned, even if it's just on weekends !

Give the young fella a go & toss out the old bloke !

I reckon it's just a matter of time. Let him cool his heels in the wings.
It's a long way from panel op to superstar.

p.s.

I've added an extra page called "TV Digest" to my weblog as the
original one is getting a bit too full and is running slower.
