Anybody who is really interested in Australia's Radio History should
listen to a series of tributes to the late great John Pearce

Go to 2GB's main page at: http://2gb.com/

then n the left hand side menu click on "2GB Audio Library" link then
go to bottom of page for a series of 7 RealPlayer items titled "Tribute
to John Pearce" Segment 1-7 ...

A must listen folks! This is great Radio. Enjoy ...

The series was produced by Peter Kukura (now Lawsie's producer) and hosted
by Bob Rogers.
It won the Raward in 1997 for "Best Documentary".
I have it on CD. 2GB made it available for sale at the time.
Truly - a great piece of radio history

Yes,I was overseas when he died,so it was a shock to hear of his death,he was hilarious to listen to,just great entertainment.

I worked for a little while with John at 2CH when he was News Director in 1980. A great raconteur who could be very entertaining. I found him very supportive. Col Humphreys and Colin Bridge were there at the same time. John Rogers

I loathed his politics, he was an old conservative fogey, but apart from that I found him very interesting and entertaining to listen to.

Sadly, it's no more on 2GB... Could you please send me a copy of it. I'm now 76 and it will be a great way to recall the good old days... :)
