Well well looks like the ACMA finally nailed Chris Wright VK2UW in
using non-compliant radio communications equipment with his
commercially made Emtron DX-3 (that has no certifications whatsover)
splatter box.

Emtron does not have any certification (CE, FCC etc.) for a
commercially made linear amplifier anything over a DX-2SP. Rudi has
certification for the DX1 and DX2 models. It means that Emtron amps up
to and including the DX-2SP can be sold new inside the US.

I don't believe that any amplifier of the power rating of the DX-3 and
up would get FCC Certification.

FCC requires 44 db harmonic suppression on a 1.5 kw amp.... and 50 db
on a 5 kw amp... and 60 db on a 10 kw amp. Rudi will have fun meeting
those spec.

The ACMA has acted fairly and correctly in confiscating VK2UW's
commercially made Emtron DX-3 Amplifier which has no compliance (CE,
FCC, etc.).

Seriously how stupid can you be VK2UW ? Do you see Yaesu, ICOM etc.
selling commercially made radio equipment (including amplifiers) in
Australia without certification ?

If only VK2UW had purchased a commercially made amplifier with
certification such as OM Power, Alpha etc.

Also VK2UW was stupid enough to be caught using his Emtron DX-3 on
11meters CB Radio.

I guess he goofed!
Foolish enough if he had been transmitting on HF bands and interfering with other more responsible operators' use of the frequencies, but to use it with a CB radio on 11 meters??? What was he thinking?

I'm all for QRO, but I wish the FCC in the USA would be more assertive in handling discourteous and non-compliant stations.

That's about $6,000 down the drain for him.

Wondering what ACMA will do with the confiscated amp. Will it go up fore auction? It would look nice next to my Alpha! :D (into a dummy load, of course!)

None of this actually happened. You were responding to a troll.

We don't have 11 meters in Australia.

I have an amp that would boost a standard 11 metre CB to 200 watts.
I don't think I would be allowed to sell it on eBay.

Maybe aft auction?

VK2UW is not a real person.

You are - and apparently always will be - a complete fucking idiot.
One would've thought you'd grow out of your pointless pedantism... but
no.

The dickhead was upset because the OP spelt it 'meters' rather than
'metres'...

Yeah we do, I mean, I got two on my power supply and there's my
power/SWR meter. Bound to be more out there.

He might be an idiot in the way he goes about his pedanticism (note
spelling!) but I'm with him in his dislike of the pervasive intrusion of
American spelling into our Aussie language. Even the Wireless Institute
of America has gone over to Seppo pronunciation and spelling. I came
here from the UK back in 1970 and there was still plenty of Aussie
English around then. But endless Seppo TV and so-called 'music' have
steadily eroded our language, replacing it with the bastardised version
of English the idiot Seppos use.

I agree, although I think the Interweb has really accelerated the
problem.

Breaking News..

vk2fjpr swaps a 2 mtr amplifier for a 1kw antenna tuner with vk2uw...

Now we all know he has been using an amplifier on the repeaters hehehehe

Why would a f/wit do buisness with another F/wit with VK2UW

I bet it has flash over points on the tuner

Well well vk2fjpr has just proven what a f/wit he really is by dealing with the
biggest thief in all VK ( Chris Wright ) AKA VK2UW

All i can say is...what a pair of wankers
