# Funny, I didn't see the word "union" mentioned in any of the above. But
no doubt the unions are behind it, eh? An attempt at feather-bedding. Or
is it that workers, being a cost not an asset, are reduced to the bare
minimum in numbers by management?
Incidentally, any business would automate, if it could, thus avoiding the
need to pay wages, as robots can work around the clock for nothing.
Why not automate the job of air-traffic controller? Maybe because the
human brain is a far more flexible instrument than an automated system? But
wait for the day when computers are given eyes - yet even an android might
make a mistake, letting two planes collide.
While it might be desirable for malingering human controllers to be
forced back to work, be wary of forcing a genuinely sick one (or more) to
function.

Sick? Were they, or are about to demand less hours at an increase in
pay?

They are in an ideal situation to demand anything (at union
instigation).

The Liberal fascists look pretty silly now that nothing is happening
after they spent many months going "unions-BOO!" before the election.

______________
[... U]nderstand this: when you wish to assault democracy, first you
attack the unions. When you wish to restore democracy, first you start
with the unions.

"It is no accident that the opposition in Zimbabwe now is led by the
unions.

"When you undermine unions, you undermine democracy in the workplace,
then you will undermine democracy in the nation overall.

"First you destroy the unions, then you destroy democracy."

Wota fucking wanker. Even the stupidest 'workers' have noticed that
the fuckwit unions are WAY past their useby date, and have had
enough of a clue to make and obscene gesture in their general direction.
