The Tax-Cuts were taken to the November 24th election in which Labor won in
landslide.

However Howard had announced them earlier.

exactly. and this..

Albanese's Great Train Robbery

The Hon Warren Truss MP
Leader of The Nationals
Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Local Government

Rudd Labor has taken policy theft to new heights today by copying
virtually word for word an announcement for an Inland Rail study made
ten months ago by the previous government.

The Leader of The Nationals and Transport Spokesman, Warren Truss, said
the sheer nerve of Infrastructure Minister Anthony Albanese’s
announcement today left him close to speechless.

“Mr Albanese has blatantly plagiarised an announcement made by former
Coalition transport minister Mark Vaile on 15 June last year,” Mr Truss
said.

“The amount of money for the study, $15 million, is exactly the same and
the Australian Rail Track Corporation is also conducting the study. Also
identical is the ARTC being tasked to look at the financial viability of
the proposal, whittling down the options to one alignment between
Melbourne and Brisbane and the report date.

“I know Mr Albanese’s NSW Labor Government colleagues have a habit of
re-announcing rail projects again and again that fail to materialise,
but this is ridiculous.

“Great train robber Ronald Biggs would be proud of Mr Albanese today. I
would suggest that to hide his embarrassment, the only place for the
Minister to go is Rio de Janeiro.

“Even more embarrassing is the revelation that last month, Finance
Minister Lindsay Tanner announced he was deferring the Coalition’s $15
million study for two years, even though the ARTC had it well underway.
Mr Tanner also cut more than $50 million from upgrading rail lines in
NSW that will eventually be part of the Inland Rail line.

“This is a Government that is making it up as it goes along. One month
it does everything it can to distance itself from the Coalition’s
long-held support for this Inland Rail project, and the next month it
embraces the Coalition’s position while abusing the Coalition as it goes.

“Mr Vaile’s press release of 15 June 2007 announcing the $15 million
study is actually on Mr Albanese’s own website. Media may wish to make a
line by line comparison today, especially in the area of the study’s
terms of reference.”

www.minister.infrastructure.gov.au/mv/releases/2007/June/096MV_2007.htm
“The Coalition said before the election that Labor was bereft of policy
ideas and after conducting a hundred meaningless reviews would revert to
ripping off the previous government’s ideas. Meanwhile, serious issues
like the closure of services on grain lines in NSW and Victoria are
being ignored by this L-plate Government. Case closed.”

I didn't say that Mr. No Brains.

You insinuated that Krudd was the only one who announced the tax cuts;
simply not true.

Howard announced them, and Krudd in his "me too" style, said Labor will
match them.

Yep, the bulk of KRudd's policies were lies. He's yet to keep most of
them.

Yep, that was another stupid idea of KRudd's. They're now trying to
backpeddle on it.

Yep but they get to have their enormous egos stroked by public

Really? ha ha ha!

I wonder if KRudd have any more important announcements to make too,
like discovering HMAS Sydney?

Never insunuated that at all.

I insunuated that Rudd took the tax cuts to a democratic election in
November 24th 2007 in which he won decisively.

Except the tax cuts Howard announced are different to the ones Rudd
announced.
