Nurse killed because she was a witch, court told
By Les Kennedy
A nursing sister was stabbed to death by her husband, son and another
youth because they believed she practiced devil worshipping and had
molested the two children when they were babies, a Sydney court was told
yesterday.
Child welfare counsellor George Fitter, 39, allegedly told police he
"wasted" his estranged wife Fiona, 35, because he believed the
accusations from his 18-year-old son, Grant, who lived with him at
Katoomba, Windsor Local Court heard.
Grant Fitter allegedly made the accusations when he became possessed by
the demonic spirit of his mother as he and his father visited a
15-year-old youth at Mrs Fitter's home in Grand Parade, Glossodia, on
Monday.
Mrs Fitter had left before their arrival to work a hospital night shift,
but her spirit allegedly took possession of Grant Fitter after the youth
told the father and son that God had said earlier that night that Mrs
Fitter was killed in a car accident.
The alleged events that triggered all three to attack Mrs Fitter with
kitchen knives and scissors when she returned home at 8.45am on Tuesday
were detailed in a police statement when George Fitter, his son and the
youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Magistrate
Alan Cullen separately on murder charges.
Police claim the 15-year-old youth, who did not enter a plea, held down
Mrs Fitter's legs as she was stabbed in the head and chest with the
scissors and knives.
The youth had allegedly said in an interview that they did not sleep all
night and held "prayers and chants to the spirit" that possessed Grant
Fitter.
Police further alleged that the youth said that when Mrs Fitter arrived
home it was not her but a "demon spirit".
"If the demon was not killed, they would be harmed and haunted," the
youth allegedly told police.
Police said George and Grant Fitter had admitted to stabbing, punching
and kicking Mrs Fitter. They claim Grant Fitter said he stabbed his
mother "because she was a witch".
Both father and son entered pleas of not guilty and were ordered to
appear in Penrith Local Court on November 16. Bail was refused.
The youth was remanded in custody to appear before Cobham Children's
Court at St Mary's on November 14.
wonder if there was any false repressed memory "therapy" involved in the
teens recolections, or just pissed off with mum for leaving him with his
loopy dad.

and this kids father is a child protection officer, that is a real worry if
such a fundamentalist and deluded chiristian can be in charge of removeing
other peoples children. i can see it now, interveneing and abducting the
children of agnostics and atheises as they are possed by the devil and must
be protected from unchristian ideas like tolerance and not killing the ex
wife.

what drugs are these people on, teenager makes up stuff, dad belives him and
uses it as an excuse to kill his estranged wife, she probably got sick of
the fundamentalist christian garbage and left him for it. i know who is
guilty of child abuse IMO.

this 15 year old sounds suspect, what is an 18 year old or a grown man doing
hanging around with a 15 year old kid who is not related to them.

pretty clear who the possessed ones are and it was not the victim, wonder if
mental illness runs in the dads family or if it was just hte result of to
little sense and to much faith, his spiritual guide needs to be investigate
IMO, probably a rabid fundy preist behind him somewhere telling him this
junk about demons and possession.

and how did he come to this conclusion, did she refuse to make them
breakfast or was it that she was not subserviant to her estranged husband
like all good christian wifes are meant to be that tipped them off to her
demonic form.

and i hope a psych assesment declares them sane so they can be tried as
anyone else would.

15 is old enough to realise that he was commiting a crime, try him as an
adult and see how quickly he points the accuseing finger at his mates and
claims they were all possessed by malign spirits and demons and forced him
to do it as part of some bizzare satanic ritual. thinking about it it sounds
pretty satanic to me, three males ritualy killing a women, yep, closet
satanists trying to cloak thmeslves in the respectability of the christian
church, or thats what the preists who teach such drivel will claim anyway.
