As an example of the back room machinations of the
Townsville Taliban I received the email below,
purporting to be from Rebecca, sledging and
libeling me, and clearly meant for someone else's eyes only.
(Gary Meadows by the looks of the included post)
There can be no clearer evidence of what Che has
accused them of for months, A CO-ORDINATED
CAMPAIGN OF CHARACTER ASSASINATION AND EXCLUSION
FROM THE A.C.T-B NG OF ALL WHO OPPOSE OR DISSENT FROM THEIR
WISH To CONTROL AUS.CULTURE.TRUE-BLUE AS, IN NEVILLE'S
WORDS.. A "HOME" FOR THEIR POLITICAL CLIQUE.
It seems a whole NG is not enough to contain their
scurrilous slander, they need their backroom email
plotting as well.
As was intimated before, they clearly operate as a pack,
signal their tactics, co-ordinate their 'killfile'
posturing to ensure at least one of them can feed the
rest selectively with the bits they choose to attack,
and share the latest ploys so that they can
appear to be independent but act as one bloc.
The fact that they have LIED about doing so,
and have portrayed their 'offline' communication as
"we can talk trueblue without interference
of sabouteurs" is now revealed as ANOTHER FRAUD!
True-blues can't be scheming, lying, pack-hunting
backroom plotting members of a self-selected clique!
These people operate like the TALIBAN, not like
fair dinkum aussies!
They have the 'freedom' to be pack hunting, venemous,
cowardly, character assassins...
I have the freedom to expose them and show their past
denials to be LIES!
If it walks like a Taliban, looks like a Taliban,
quacks like a Taliban
Then IT'S A FAIR DINKUM TALIBAN!
No attempt to deal with the issues, they just slag
the author and apply the blinkers:

pieces called "Clancy of the Overflow" and "The Man from Snowy
River", which have also become part of our national self-image.
My piece, "Nancy Overflow", echoes both. A "nancy (boy)" is a
sook, or crybaby. "Daks" are trousers, or pants.
There was movement in his bowels as the Voices whispered low
"They want your blood, they want your head, they're after you, you know".
He cursed and swore, then swore some more: the tears began to flow,
He filled his Trakky Daks with kak, did Nancy Overflow.
The Voices kept on whispering into his tiny brain,
He bashed his head against the wall, to try and stop the pain.
He screamed and cried, he almost died: the Voices wouldn't go,
He shat some more, and fouled the floor, did Nancy Overflow.
They told him of a thing they called the Townsville Taliban,
A secret group whose aim in life was tea, with scones and jam.
That set him off with choke and cough: he felt the pressure grow,
He shat again, and splashed his den, did Nancy Overflow.
The Coven's dire ambition filled his mind with fear and dread,
"They're fiends, of vile intent" whispered the Voices in his head,
"They're plotting to get rid of you". It hit him like a blow.
He gave a bleat, and shat like sleet, did Nancy Overflow.
The level in his den rose high: he might have drowned in it,
But then a big turd blocked his arse, and stopped the flow of shit.
His arse was kil't, the pressure built, it had nowhere to go,
And then at last a batshit blast did Nancy Overflow.

Could you perhaps explain to me the cause and effect of how all this

But there were not only "10 pound poms", other nationalities had the
same deal. Though they are usually referred to as having received
"assisted passage" - the official term. Unfortunately my family didn't
qualify as dad was a year over the age limit :-(
Where the "whinging pom" originates from (I think) is that some of the
poms on assisted passage, complained about the conditions here "It's
not like back home" and wanted to go back within a couple of weeks.
These were very few of those who arrived, and certainly were not the
only people who did go back, but it was these who ended up on the
telly. Hence the "whinging pom"...
On the boat I came over on, there were Pom stowaways, a mother and her
three daughters. They were 'discovered' on the third day out. They
were given the freedom of the ship as any other passenger, they
attended the movies and dances regularly and had a ball. They all also
worked as prostitutes on the way over. Once the ship arrived at Perth,
news people boarded and did interviews on camera with them on the trip
to Melbourne. I was watching and listening to them being interviewed.
More cameras boarded in Melbourne...

It was a great scheme, the assisted passage. On the whole it provided
us here in Aus with a wealth of good migrants and look how we all
prospered from that.
