He has new music to download and you can buy CDs as well - anything
from his newer stuff to The Slaughtermen, Sinners Saved By Grace, etc.
Give it a look. Some interesting stuff to browse over.
Oooh, thanks for that, it'll keep me amused for a while, ta. I almost shot a
clip for Ian during his 'King of the Cross' 1994 period, but we never got it
made. I'd just done a clip for Mark Ferrie ("I've Fallen, and I Can't Get
Up") and he recommended me to Ian... and Mark's clip came about because I'd
just done the a Truckasaurus[1] clip with Lisa Miller.. bugger, this is
getting too convoluted...

[1] look, it's long deleted from CD's, it'll be removed from my ISP in a
week or so, but here's a sample of Lisa's early stuff, if anyone's
interested

No worries Joe :)
and further to this, if anyone has video or anything pertaining to Ian
and/or any of his projects (The Slaughtermen, Sinners Saved By Grace,
The Bosa Nova, Go Wild In French etc) I'd love copies. I'll pay all
costs of course.
cheers
so do you have the ABC-TV show 'Rock Arena' Slaughtermen special?. It was
shot around the "Live 'Naturally' " time, usual songlist, Luxury Liner,
Jesus is your Ticket, When The Roll, Jesus Saves White Trash, God's not
Dead, etc., about 30 minutes worth. At the time I think the host of the
show, Suzanne Dowling, was living with Andrew Pendelbury, (deadset legend)
so that may have been one reason it was made.
I recently saw it again while it was being transferred from 1" videotape to
Digi Betacam for archival purposes. Depending on how badly you want it, a
call to ABC Melbourne Sales and Archives on 03 9524 2222 will get you a
personal copy for non-broadcast purposes, might cost a bit, though.
best wishes, Joe M.
thanks Joe :) I've just been chatting to Ian Stephen and he's gonna
run a copy off for me but thanks for the heads up anyway.
'Live - Naturally'? Would that be the 80's?
I caught them at the Prince of Wales in St. Kilda, Melbourne in about
'85/'86. They were supporting Beasts of Bourbon and The Slaughtermen
blew me away.
Good to see the ABC archive stuff, unlike the BBC who write over it
all and then have to rely on fans to resupply it to them.
lol

if you've never even heard of him or the Slaughtermen give his stuff a
try.
The Slaughtermen were one of the best live bands to come out of
Melbourne in the early 80's.
You can download some free samples of his more recent stuff at:
