Those little black things near the windshield that buzz on a CBR600F3

You know what I'm talking about. Well, as I said once before I couldn't
get the screw out when I tried to stop it buzzing. The shop did somehow.

Well, I've just bought myself a lightswitch (bugger the Nazis who came up
with that silly Australian Design rule) and to fit it I need to remove the
instrument cowl which means removing those black things. I can't get either
one off. The screw just turns and turns and turns.

Anybody know what the secret is?.

Allthough if you prang the insurance company could tell you
to get stuffed for knowingly riding an unroadworthy vehicle:
and it will be as you have just voided the ADR approval!!

Unless they have agreed in writing to it of course.

Well, that's what has stopped me in the past. I figger that in this situation
I would be able to put the old switchblock on before they get their mitts
on it... or smash the block beyond recognition. The only differences are in the
block.

Get real, this is insurance companies we're talking about!. Also now that the
liberals have been voted back into federal parliament, there is a 95% chance
the ADR will be scrapped. Guess who I voted for?.

>>Anybody know what the secret is?.

Hmmm. The only answer I've had is brute force, destruction and glueing back
together =8-O. That is _not_ the right answer!.

Yes.

It's totally nuts over there. In CA, you must have wired on lights... But
they're thinking of scrapping the helmet laws. Somebody has got their
priorities a bit screwed up!.

> If I may delve further, why are

1). When riding out of a sunset with the light on, I am invisible.
2). When trying to signal the drunk driver heading straight for me on the
wrong side of the road, he might see me if I can flash the lights on
and off.
3). If I get a flat battery, I won't be stuck.
4). I've got enough bloody brains to know that I am easier to see
with my lights on. I don't need the government insulting my intelligence
with stupid laws like this on.

Fair enough?.

I've heard you say that the CBR600 is an awesome bike Tony. Surely you are
able to ride it backwards, thereby avoiding the above situation :-) Hell,
every time I see nick it looks as though he rides backwards! :-)

Perhaps leave the job for your housewarming party. You know what they say about
many hands making light work .... :-)

btw. I couldn't find the story about the new CBR in the AMCN at the newsagent -
I guess the v-four CBR story was an April Fools gag right? <g>
