GPX ???? GPZ ??? What's the Diff ??? & FZ750 opinions

What I want to know is what is the differences between a GPX and GPZ....I think
I have seen a GPX 750, 500, 600 but also a GPZ 600 ????
OK now does anyone have any opions/faults about FZ750's ???

Basically age. The GPX range came after the GPz range, although not all
GPz bikes were replaced. There were also two waves of GPz to confuse
things more.
In the GPz range:
First wave (1980ish)
GPz 1100, 750, 550 - I'm not sure if the 250 goes here or next
Second wave (starting with 900 in 1983)
GPz 900R, 750R, 600R, 500S, 250.
The GPz900R and 500S never got replaced by GPX models. Well, at least,
GPz500S (and 900R) production went on to 1992ish, I own a GPz500 and never
heard of a GPX version until this week in the newsgroup.
GPX range (around 1987?):
GPX 750, 600, 250
All of them were changed from the previous. I don't know about the 250 but
the 750 was all new (the 750R being a sleved down 900R) and the 600 scored
new frame, plastic, and an engine just different enough to make things
not interchangeable.
Kawasaki then went on to ZX ZXR and ZZR monikers. Until they released a

With regards to the 600's:
I had a GPZ600.. it is lower to the ground than the GPX, which is what I
was looking for.
The GPX is lighter and more powerful. By memory, about 6-10Kg lighter
and about 7-10% more powerful ?
The only thing I didn't like about the GPX was the color schemes. It was
hard to find anything other than Black/Silver. They also tended to have fairing
damage (I looked at 4 or 5 and they ALL had fairing damage).
GPX's tended to cost $1000+ more than a GPZ's.
Also, just personal, but the GPX's have this padding thing going around
the base of the tank.. I didn't like that either.

You forgot the first of the black missiles from Kawasaki - the GPz1000 RX,
looks like the GPZ600, rather than the GPz750/900. Big bike.
