It's coming up to that time again.

FYI - These are the latest prices I have been able to get for a
greenslip on my '95 Across. (Rider under 29, garaged in Lane Cove)

FAI - $243
NRMA - $248
QBE - $240
AAMI - $230
MMI - $188
Sun-Alliance - $199
Illawarra Credit Union - $199

Any other suggestions?

Cheers,

Try Zurich - I've always found them the cheapest for greenslips. I think they
quoted $170 for under 300cc in April.

Right you are Kath. Just gave them a call, and Zurich quoted $175. Looks
like they've got my vote,

Murray,

I hope this gets to you soon enough, but try "Commercial Union". I got
my green-slip for $137 in June. "Spokes & Treads" on the Highway at
Atarmon is an agent for them.

Cheers, and see you on Sunday,

In NSW it is compulsory to have third party personal insurance. Once
this was part of the rego cost, but some years back they opened it up
to competition. You hunt around and find somebody to insure you. One
rego day you supply:

- a pink slip (vehicle inspection report)
- a green slip (proof of CTP insurance)
- your rego fee

Me, I'd like third party property to be compulsory, too.

Wouldn't it be great if the insurance company would fix your bike to the tune
of $3300, then have an adjuster escort you and supervise while you inflict
$3300 worth of non-insurable damage to his truck?

Thanks for the enlightenment. We still have this included in our rego in
WA.

Move to Canberra. Total rego costs less than $150 for a 250cc. And if
its just a renewal then no inspection either.

Yippee!!!!!

My greenslip renewal just came about a week ago so I've been
following this thread with some interest. I've just rung Spokes
and Treads and the bloke said they no longer do greenslip
insurance (as of about 3 weeks ago). The price direct from CU
is $186, so Zurich still looks like the best at $175.

Dave.

Just did the ring round for the Guzzis.

FAI: $466
QBE (who were cheapest last year) : $373
Commercial Union: $390
Zurich: $368

That's for 850cc bike, 1973, rider over 30, garaged in Sydney.

I think I'll have to move to Canberra.. anyone want a Unix sysadmin in
canberra?

Hi Tony, welcome.

I've often wondered about folk who actually earn their money by riding bikes,
i.e. it is _work_....what do they do at weekends? Do they go for a bike ride,
or play golf?
