We have a SOHO network with a PC laptop, PC desktop, Mac desktop and the
ocassional iMac.
As long as you have File Sharing set up, you can access the Mac hard
drives from the PCs with no problems, but to go the other way, we use
PCMacLan on the PC and connect through Appleshare on the Macs.

Can the Macs see the printer attached to a PC and visa versa? I have been
trying to gather this info for a while before purchasing PCMaclan.
I want my PC to have a HP4MP laser printer on it and my Macs to be able to
print to it. Is this possible?
If you only need printer sharing a PC/Mac LAN isn't needed. The 4MP
has PC parallel, PC serial, and Mac serial inputs and can autoswitch
between them all.
I have a 4MP connected to a PC via its parallel port and to a 7300 via
an Appletalk network (as I have an old Laserwriter as well), and it
works flawlessly even if you try to print from both computers
simultaneously. Set up the Laserjet in the Chooser and away you go.
