Do not respond to this in the usual way. If you look at the headers in the
original message carefully, you will note that one line reads
"Followup-To: news.admin.net-abuse.email". If you respond in the normal way
(instead of restoring the original list of groups as the list of groups to which
your response is posted, the way I did), your response will not appear on any
of the groups aus.mac, comp.sys.mac.printing, comp.sys.mac.system,
slac.announce.outages.mac to which the message was originally posted, but
instead to the newsgroup news.admin.net-abuse.email.
The purpose of the original message is to get you to reply to it and thereby
clog the group news.admin.net-abuse.email, since the author presumably is
interested in furthering abuse of newsgroups and e-mail, rather than in
combatting it.
Similar messages are being posted by the perpetrators to all sorts of
other news groups. Ignore them, or post warning messages similar to this
one (make sure you change the Newsgroups list so that
news.admin.net-abuse.email doesn't get clogged, first).
