In an unrelated topic, have you heard what the price will be for the new
VPL-HW15 Sony projector? Sony US have dropped the price by $500 to a
retail of $2995 and seeing as our dollar is so strong at the moment I was
hoping Sony Australia would do the same.

yes the price will be $4299 list pre orders we are getting together now at
$3600 inc.... let me know if you are interested,the Sony VPL-VW85 is also
coming out but pricing will be about double the above...

$4299 is the current list price here of the soon to superseeded HW10 so no
price drop? That's disappointing Sony AUS aren't dropping the list price of
HW15 as Sony US are. $2995 US equates to $3550 AUS (according to Comm bank
currency converter) so your price is spot on. I guess I was hoping Sony
here would follow suit and drop the RR price to $3600 so after a bit of old
fashion haggling we might see 1080p projectors selling for close to $3000.
