We've just moved, and now that I've transplanted some Cocos palms from their
pots alongside a North-facing fence into the soil further along the fence,
but now without the extra shade provided by some of the taller plants,
they're suffering from sunburn.
Other than smearing 30+ sunscreen along their leaves, is it better to
install some shade clothe, or to plant something else for cover? I've
planted bouganvillea along the fence, but it'll take a year before they
provide any shade, and the Cocos palms are complaining bitterly, especially
now that it's midsummer.....
Any help would be much appreciated!

they will adjust and knowing queen palms - 'syagrus romanzoffiana'
(re-nmaed from cocos) very quickly, the damaged leaves will die off in
due course.
