Can a kikuyu lawn be scarified in the same way as couche ?

you betcha - did it a few years ago a it came up bright green 2 weeks later.
In sep/oct, mow it hard then scarify it. Water it, afew days later apply
some lawn food and water it in. Kikuyu is OK as a lawn as long as it's kept
under control at the edges ( easier said than done)
