Hello.

Is it legal to drive Unlicenced &/or Unregistered on NSW Crown Land?

I can't find any details about this.

I know it is illegal to drive unlicenced &/or an unregistered vehicle
on NSW National Parks & Wildlife territory; or in NSW State Forests.
(In fact, NSW Police enforced this recently in some sites just last
month – http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/aboutus/news/recent-news/forests/hunter-illegal-motorcycle-blitz)

However, it is entirely legal to drive Unregistered and Unlicenced on
private property, including a farm.

Is it legal to drive Unlicenced & Unregistered on NSW Crown Land? Who
enforces NSW Crown Land laws?

Noodle.

The distinction is not based on whether the land is private or
otherwise, but on whether it is open to the public. Thus, for example,
you need to be licenced to drive in the car park belonging to Westfield
as part of one of its shopping centres.

Hi.

Fair enough.

I didn't know this.

I guess I was confused because NSW has NPWS-managed land (which I now
understand to also be Crown Land), State Forest-managed Land, and
separate, NSW Lands-Department-managed Crown Land which is actually
bigger than both of the above!

http://www.lpma.nsw.gov.au/about_crown_land

Thanks to Sylvia & yourself for clearing the confusion.
