Stupid poof doesn't mention the requirement for drinking water
"Downstream impacts of dams can include the loss of fisheries, poorer
water quality and damage to the fertility of farmlands and forests. As
well as degrading water quality, rotting vegetation trapped upstream of
dams also releases greenhouse gases, contributing to global warming."
"Dams and diversions are the main reason why one-third of the world's
freshwater fish species are extinct, endangered or vulnerable," Senator
Brown said.
"Research by International Rivers also shows many shellfish, frogs, plant
and bird species that depend on freshwater habitats are also extinct or at
risk as dams reduce biodiversity."

That's all they offer - cheap condolences. cheap. Have any of their
able-bodied turned up to broom out the mud from Q-lands' house
floors?
I bet not!
No reporters to snap them in that line but reporters always turn up to
photograph them strapped to trees.
If they don't want trees chopped down, then let them have a word with
GayBob, who is all for "open borders"
If immigration is slowed, we won't need to chop many trees to house
the parasites.

Too bad they weren't strapped to trees during the floods.

Larissa Waters (only Greens member, Qld) points to this entry on her
facebook page:
"Libby Connors (Greens candidate) is coordinating Greens volunteers to
assist with flood clean up efforts in Dalby and Warra, on behalf of the
Toowoomba Greens. The Greens clean up is planned for this Saturday 8th
January. Libby will be in contact with relevant community groups in the
region this week, gauging where volunteers can be best utilized.
If you're interested in helping, please contact Libby at
libby....@qld.greens.org.au no later than Thursday 6th January.
Considerations for volunteers
Own transport is an advantage
The clean up could involve a full day of volunteering.
Volunteers coming from Brisbane or the Gold Coast will need to be
available all Saturday, from 7am to 7pm, to allow for travel time inland.
Thanks for the offers of support already made."
There are updates of course, would you like to name your bet before I
point you to them? Or prefer to just sling off with your baseless
liberal slander? You do represent the liberal view I take it?
