I hope that some one out there can help me. I am trying to repair a
Pilotphone IX VHF-FM marine radio that doesn't want to transmit. I believe
that I have found the problem, but unless I use a jumper lead from +Vcc to
the base of the transistor the transmit CCT wont switch on. I am trying to
back track from this transistor to find out where the supply voltage comes
from.

Does any one have a schematic for this particular radio. This is a rather
urgent repair so any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello David,
I do not know where you live. I am in Sydney and
there are a few places to try here.
British Aerospace or BA Systems at Bankstown Airport,
ask for Aileen or Daryl to obtain a circuit diagram.
Elecrotech at Brookvale, ask for Raff.
AWA marine at Kingsgrove, ask for Vilmur.
Check all three for the best deal (free). Aileen will want
to charge you at least $10 for a photocopy.

Talk tp Phil Pleydell at Whitsunday Marine Electronics on 0749467813. He has
a schematic.
