Hi there,

I'm interested in locating a low quantity - 10 or less of intel 8243 or
equivalent ICs in Australia. Alternatively, are there suppliers in the USA of
electronic components that don't charge an arm and a leg for "handling" of
international component orders? I'm a hobbiest, who would maybe spend $40-50
at a time.

Thanks,

Adam

Now there is an old part number.
We probably have some still in spares - we used them in an early ICE,
maybe 10 years ago!

10 Should be OK - $5 each, 10+ ?.

hooee, I think they went obsolete years ago. Intel have shut 2 or 3 fabs in
the last 18 months. No more nmos chips at all , and they rationalised the
rest of their production.
You will need to try 3rd party suppliers to see if their is old stock about.
There is a us supplier called "Graveyard Electronics" or something similar.
Regards Mike
