Hey guys,
MBA in rural management may not be as popular as finance but it still
attracts large number of students. KIIT School of Rural Management
(KSRM) offers MBA in rural management in which students get to learn
about corporate social responsibility management, rural marketing, NGO
management, agri-business, micro finance, and more. KSRM has tie-ups
with several organizations and students have been placed in various
reputed organizations such as SEWA, Development Alternatives and more.
Students doing rural management can work in banking sector, public
sector and even corporates for agri-business portfolios.


MBA in Rural Management

MRM is the Flagship Programme of the School. It prepares Students for
Managerial Positions to professionalize oneself in the management of
wide variety of institutions working for the rural areas

2-Year MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM)

Eligibility: Graduate with minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent
CGPA) at graduation can apply. Candidates in the final year expecting
to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st July 2011
can also apply.

Course: The MBA-RM Program shall consist of complete 92 Credits,
including 56 Credits of Course work and 36 credits of Field Work.

3-Year Part-Time MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM)

Eligibility: Graduate with a minimum 50% aggregate marks (or
equivalent CGPA) + a minimum of 2 years experience in a development
sector with a reputed organization as on 1st July, 2011 can apply.
Work experience obtained only after graduation will be considered.
Organizational sponsorship is welcomed and would be given preference.

Course: The MBA-RM Program shall consist of complete 92 Credits,
including 56 Credits of Course work and 36 credits of Field Work. The
specialization includes a wide range of development areas like
Agribusiness, Natural Resource Management, Livelihoods, Microfinance,
CSR management, Rural Marketing etc. to cater to the diversified needs
of the development sector. These specializations will be offered
through a combination of Core/Elective Coursework, and Courses of
Independent Studies (CIS) and applied research through 3 field
components i.e. 2 components of Management Traineeship Segment (MTS-I
and MTS-II) + one in their own organization over a period of 3 years.
The candidate has to stay for 1 year in the campus out of 3 years of
course duration.
