I have just purchased Region 4 DVD and on Disc 2, when you go to Olivanders
to buy a wand, the choices are random. Now if you get it wrong a couple of
times it takes you to the next shelf up to select a wand from there. When
you pick the wrong box, the DVD just freezes up and no buttons on the remote
or on the unit itself respond. You can't eject the disc and you can't even
turn the power off. I had to disconnect the DVD Player from the Power Supply
to fix the problem.
Has anyone had this problem with their Region 4 Harry Potter?
I have written to Warner Bros about this, but of course, no response.
thanks for any info.

Does this mean that when my R2 HP arrives and I have a problem, should I
contact Amazon, or Warners in the UK?

Amazon, who should return it to Warners and issue you with a
non-defective one. It's probabbly a R4 issue.

No problem with the disk here - and I have a TEAC DV-2200 model player - if
a problem is to be found - mine will usually pick it up - I had awful
trouble with X-men, until I worked out to change something with the sound
settings.
