I have noticed that there are many New Zealand feature films that have
very low numbers of people who have rated them at IMDB (Internet Movie
Database). There are three or four that have not even reached five
ratings - including the new Jason Stutter, Raybon Kan movie,
'Diagnosis: Death', who previously made 'Tongan Ninja'. This comedy
has a scene that includes the leads of 'Eagle vs. Shark', Loren
Horsley and Jemaine Clement. The DVD is now available from UK and NZ
retailers and will be available in the U.S. starting 29 December.

This is only one example of NZ titles that have received very few
ratings or reviews at IMDB. Of course certain titles have had many
comments and ratings, such as Lord of the Rings, Bad Taste, An Angel
at my Table or The World Fastest Indian, but there are surprisingly
low numbers for films such as, The Silent One, Sylvia, Spooked, Show
of Hands, Ngati or Heart of the Stag, to mention a few.

I am thinking that maybe more folks need to be introduced to this
great internet film resource. It contains information on just about
every professional film made from all countries and includes shorts
and made for TV titles as well. There are links to sources from which
to purchase videos and dvds and links to all kinds of related
resources, including trailers and posters.

However you do need to register to vote or post reviews, although it
is easy and there is no charge. If you want to look into it, check out
the following link, but look around its database; you will probably
find answers to questions you have about that favourite actor, even if
you don't feel like registering just now.
