Query: Is this a case for AGSF? That is, does posting on-topic binaries count as
grounds for account pulling?

Can't work out how to mail me? Then don't.
There is no such as thing as "on-topic binaries" in a text-based
newsgroup. ALL binaries - no matter what the effing content - are
waaaaaaaaaaaay off topic for any newsgroup that's not a designated
*.binaries group.
The picture wasn't even all that "gothic", imo. Anybody could take a
picture of any ol' brunette beach babe and add in some fake blood
dribbles. (!?!)
I mean - fuck. What an insult. "Ooh, this chick's got black hair and
she's got a moody look on 'er gob. Maybe I can make some quick cash off
some lonely gothics who might want to wank over her!"

I'm not sure that a beach babe with blood dribbles would make for
gripping, one-handed viewing, even for a lonely goff. People are
evidently even stupider than I've previously imagined, even during my
darkest moments.

hmmm, could you tell me where the sexual connotations were? please, i seemed
to have missed them. Cash, did you even look at the site to see its content?

My, my. You honestly don't know ANYTHING about Usenet. Do you?
Binary groups are for binaries. Textgroups are for text. Posting
binaries to text groups is a Seriously Bad Idea, and for very sound
reasons.
You know fuck all. I claim my five dollars.

Why am I responding to this person? (a glass of pinot and two glasses
of champagne in celebration of a friend's d.i.v.o.r.c.e. might be the
reason...)

Are there THAT many other reasons why people post crap like this across
the length and breadth of Usenet in the hopes of "attracting" the
unsuspecting into their webs? I think not, Grasshopper.
> Cash, did you even look at the site to see its content?
Why should I give you not only my time and effort but even ONE extra hit
on your page counter?
In other words - no, I did not go to your site. Because of your
flagrant disregard for netiquette, I had NO desire WHATsoever to even
think about looking at anything further you may have to say. Your
spamming didn't work on me, child. Inappropriate posting pisses a lot
of netizens off. And YOU did it. Deal.
It not about hits on a counter, its about getting to know interesting people

Hmmm, so try to comment next time on that that you know !

well you took rather a lot of time writing this crap.
Your spamming didn't work on me, child.
My mail was mearly a link to my home page, much the same as you have at the
bottom of this, just in pictorial form... it sertainly made an inpreshion
tho :0 thanks for the compliment :)

Attribute things you've quoted. It makes the post so much more
readable.
As a mere matter of /politeness/ do not post binaries to a text
group. IF you do, then expect people to respond rudely to your own
lack of manners and don't get peevish.
No, I didn't go to your site. <shrug>. The two above things are not
likely to make people want to, either. So your posting of the addy
was rather redundant.
Thank you for playing, have a nice day.

That would be the relevant information one thinks.

I think this is the eighteenth reply I've seen this week from a flamed
newbie or spammer in which said newbiespammer turns on their flamer
with "thanks for the compliment" or "i fel gud now."

Well, no, but I was considering the response of said spammer when ISP goes to pull
account: <whine> "But it was a gothic picture, and it's a gothic ng!"</whine>.
Considering the follow-ups from the "artist", though.... Chocks away!

I believe the correct term would be Dickhead... grasshoppers have waaaay
too much sense to misuse Usenet.

Actually, inappropriate posting gives me something else to laugh
about... but yer right, he is kinda clueless ^_^
Kitsune, with insults like this, who needs flame wars? (oh and I do
expect to be suitably flamed) ^_^

It's grounds for legitimate complaint - binary in text group.
As many complaints as possible please. Include the full header, DON'T send
the entire attachment ...
Also complain to ab...@geocities.com about the spamvertised web page.

Hah. You don't even know enough to use the phrase "spam" in the
correct manner.
And trust me kid, you've REALLY picked the wrong newsgroup to do what
you've done. You may very well lose your account now... wheeee! ;P

Been a while since I got mistaken for a child. Someone told me that I
looked about 23 the other day. *bounce*
