The APVMA is obviously *unaware* that many people drink bottled water
*precisely* to avoid impurities in tap water. Yet this gubbermint
department has decided - with consultation apparently - that if "most"
of us drink tap water then *all* of us should.

Atrazine is banned in the EU as a suspected carcinogen.

That article is relevant right *now* because nothing has changed:
1. Atrazine is still widely used
2. Atrazine is still suspected of being carcinogeneic
3. Atrazine is still banned in the EU - and allowed in Australia
4. The APVMA has not changed their position *despite* the fact that most
bottled water *still* comes from groundwater

Conclusion:
It is still the case that this government department doesn't give a shit
about people who drink bottled water.

Should an issue cease to have interest because a government department
DID NOTHING about it in 2 years?

No legislation can compensate people for their own stupidity.

(Commercial sale of) bottled water should be banned outright.

Atrazine is widely used as a herbicide. You have far higher chances having
it in your morning cereals than in your water, even ground water.
