I'll run into problems but nothing cd be worse than Vista.

I am amazed at the long list of "things" on crt panel. Where is the

It's on the bottom of the left-hand column of the first Control Panel
screen on my Windows 7, under "Programs". Pretty obvious, I would think.

Its seems a lot of things aren't pretty obvious to losers who can't even get to
grips with Vista.

Not really all that obvious where it is - the location depends on the
sizing of the CP window, and that could depend on the size of the
monitor screen. It could also depend whether the CP is set for W7 view
or classic view.

So, "bottom of the left-hand column of the first Control Panel screen"
is probably highly misleading for some people.

Wrong, it's not obvious at all. And just like Vista, a lot of things
are just straight forward as to what you are meant to do.
To uninstall a program you click "Programs And Features", WTF, it
doesn't say anything about Uninstall, Remove, Trash, Nuke, Erase, and
when you go into this "Programs and Features" all you can really do
anyway is remove crap.

I don't know how you have Windows 7 configured, but the default (i.e.
not classic view), which I am using, is as I described, and "Uninstall a
program" is a link on the very first control panel screen. As I said
it's obvious.

Sorry, for "screen", read "window". Still obvious (if people really
don't bother to scroll a window, they don't deserve to be using a computer).

Yes, I was assuming the default view, not classic view.

Nonsense. "Programs and Features" is actually on the second control
panel window, after clicking on "Programs" from the first window.
"Uninstall a program" appears again as a link under this, so anyone who
can't find it easily is an idiot.

Again this relates to the default setup, not classic view.

Actually, if you want to use "classic view", this seems to have been
changed to either "view large icons" or "view small icons" in Win 7.

Using either of these views, "Programs and Features" appears on the
first control panel window. Clicking on this takes you into the
"uninstall or change a program" window. Again quite easy and intuitive.

Well now, thanks to all who participated, even annily. Obviously
Control Panel was inoperative so I reinstalled W7. Once that was done
CP was working as all have described. Programs & Features worked! It
is not where some of you thought - CP opens list to the right of CP
and the wanted prg is clearly visible.

Thank you,

Even me? I was trying to be helpful. I just couldn't understand why you
had trouble finding "uninstall prorgams". I didn't realize your CP was
apparently stuffed.

Glad to see it's working again, but now I'm curious as to what your CP
looked like when it was screwed.
