Had a chuckle at this bit :
"Upload speeds will also now function at a staggering 2Mbit/s; the type
of high-speed broadband many other Australians can only dream of. ''
Wow ....that's some sort of upload speed.

the writer. I thought you meant that the 2Mbits/s was an error that
should have been corrected by proof reading. Presumably it really is
30Mbps down and 2Mbps up.

I initially thought it WAS an error, but maybe it's not.
I expected more - given the way it read, but that's probably the best they can do.

Yes, particularly when you read of requests for BT seeders who can sustain (not
peak) 10 mbit or HIGHER upload speeds...
But then Australians should expect to be treated like this. For years we
suffered Telstra's tyranny as it not only restricted ADSL1, it charged an
absolute fortune for it. Now that it's unthrottled, it's charged even more. And
yet people shrug, bend over and cop it, yet again as they sign up in droves for
what is an exhorbitantly priced product.

Not talking about recent price cuts, dickhead. I'm talking about how for years
Telstra gouged both its own customers and the resellers (and still do) with
ADSL1 being capped at 1.5 megs when it could easily have released it to operate
at full speed, then when it did it charged even more. Pure cream for Telstra.
