If you want to backup all the data on a Win 10 computer to a portable
hard drive, what software is best to do that? Is there something in Win
10 that will do it?

This does an image backup for a complete restore and that can be
accessed (via Macrium) to access & restore individual files.

USB rather than real time continuous backup.

Yep.

Depends on how you define best and what sort of backup
you want. There is a big difference between real time
continuous backup while you are still using the machine
and a manual backup when you choose to do one.
