Must be a lot of satisfied / well educated Oz Linux users out there, or
(rhetorical question) is this ng no longer active?

Enquiring minds need to know!

Newsgroup activity seems to be down generally, more activity in the
comp.os.linux.* ones, but still down. I think web forums are more of
an in-thing. There is occasional activity in this group, but not a
lot.

I think the decline of newsgroups is a shame, as another poster
explained, forums and google search answer most linux questions better
these days.

Personally I would like to see forums that allowed for access via the
nntp protocol, so that they could be read via web broser or new reader.
I use gnus for new, and the scoring feature would make a forum like
slashdot usable.
