I have one of my Amiga 4000 computers for sale. Specs are:

A4000/040
4mb fast/2mb chip ram
1.2gb hard drive
includes high-density disk drive

Asking $2000 obo. This is the Amiga that most of Directory Opus was
written on, so it's effectively a collector's item :) I'll even throw in
a copy of the latest Directory Opus.

I also have an Emplant Deluxe card (with scsi/2 serial ports), and an
A2232 multi-serial card for sale. I'm asking $300 each, or $500 for
both. $2400 for the whole lot.

Call me on 0412 845696 if you're interested.

If it's so dead, why not write the epetath and put it on video, add sound,
oh and do
it all for under a thousand dollars with your PC/mac.

If you can, write up the statistics and how you did it. Please include all
your
hardware and software you used. I need all these details so I can switch
from my
"DEAD" system.

How bout you let me know next time you see a 1200 for $200. I'd be keen.

Gary,

I guess I will say it again - New Gen Amigas? Where?

A1200s are NOT new gen amigas no matter if they were built 2 days ago. They
are new AMIGAS to be sure but not new gen! An 060 in one would be a great
FAST machine (my 2000/030 does things faster than the 486/66 my wife brought
home to do work on) but it isnt really a new gen machine either. Tower
models? I could have bought a tower setup for my 2000 many years ago.

I am not having a go at you. A new gen Amiga to me is not one of those you
mentioned, though.

GP> Well, as we speak, QuickPak has three new models available for sell.
GP> These are on the 1200 and 4000 line though, but highly accellerated

Gary,

Sorry mate but the are NOT "New Gen Amigas". It matters not that they are
highly accelerated. They are still the old amigas, albeit faster.

PPC cards are all well and good and definitely will mark the closest thing to
new generation amigas yet seen since the demise of Commodore but I would
prefer to see a PPC Amiga from the ground up.

GP> something solid in a few weeks to base a new Amiga on.

I certainly hope so!
