If a customer has chosen Optus as their Carrier for Local calls (I know
that there are only about 10) can they use 1477 for Global One or the
acess codes for Telstra, Worldxchange or Priums Axicorp?

About 10 000 actually.

Angus Mann uses Optus for local calls, he is having trouble using the very
same access codes to access other networks.

Technically it *should* be possible.

And, isn't it Primus GlobeTalk?

Angus is the only one of Optus Local :), and he was having problems using
any other LD carrier among other problems.

Are you saying that for Optus local call customers, 1456 means "alternative
carrier" instead of "1456 means Optus" ?
