Can't see the point in wasting money with the short amount of rings it takes
before it goes to voicemail .
As far as I know, you can't change the delay. All Optus Express
voicemail settings are changed by calling the service staff, and the
only setting they change is turning it on or off.
I think it is the exact same system voicemail system as for Optus
contract users, but they can send the network codes from their
handsets to change delays and stuff, whereas all of those codes are
barred on Optus Express.
If anyone knows otherwise I would be grateful to hear it :-)
Do the other prepaid services allow diversion? Is this another area
that Optus Express has to catch up in?

Just call cutomer service and see what they can do. None of these settings
are controllable from the handset in this instance.
Here's a trick - free customer service number - 555p2### from your handset.
I'm on Optus contract and I set my phone to divert to my mBox when a call
isn't answered - much cheaper than paying storage and retrieval charges.
For all those that don't know, www.mbox.com.au - free voicemail (ie you get
a personal telephone number)

Pause.
To turn off: ##21#
To set the number of rings **61*229**<number of seconds># <send>
Where seconds is max of 30, in multiples of 5.
Telstra Communic8 (Zip / U prepaid) has free diversion, can be done from the
handset
Wrong.

You could have saved yourself all this hassle by reading my post first, you
