Virgin are hopeless - they accidently disconnected my number and don't care.

I had two phone numbers, one with Virgin and one with Dingo.
Tried porting my Dingo number to Virgin using a Starter kit.
The idiots ported my Dingo number to My old Virgin number not to the Starter kit
number.
Asked them to fix it Last Saturday.
Still not fixed.
Rang again and they said they couldn't get my old number back. I'd have to use
the one one the Starter Pack instead.
After asking to speak to a supervisor they said they could do it but it could
take a week.
The number they disconnected was quite a good number with two sequential
doubles.

I have lost all faith in Virgin and wouldn't recommend them.
Customer support is prompt but hopeless.

Gotta go now and tell all those I connected to Dingo not to switch to Virgin.

Easily fixed, lodge a complaint @ http://www.tio.com.au plus a stern letter to
Virgin HQ.

Telstra has customer service.... I would never have believed it myself.

But you are right, maybe "Sir Richard" should have put 5 y.o. in charge. I
think they may have done a much better job.

After 11 days of callers not reaching me but hearing the number you called is
disconnected messages Virgin finally reconnected my number.
I had to say I'd be contacting the TIO next to get them to act.

Thanks for suggesting the TIO

BTW how soon after porting a number to Virgin can you port it out again?

I have the same issue, in America. Virgin ported my number and disconnected me. Still waiting for them to reactivate it. How can I make sure it happens? I don't want to lose this number. It's been 3 days of disconnection so far.

I have been using Virgin for many years, and I find they are the best service provider as they have quite unique features compared to the other money hungry service providers.

12 years before replying - even Virgin sometimes does better than that!

You're replying to a 10 year old post.

Me too.

I much prefer amaysim now myself. Much better value for the
mostly very short calls I make to other mobiles, no flagfall and
12c/min so most of my calls cost just 12c, only marginally more
than I pay for voip calls to landlines.

And the pay as you go data charge of 9c/1MB charged
in 1MB chunks allows me to do navigation for usually
just 9c per navigation.

Social networking data is free.

Nope. But you do have to login to the
groups.google you are posting from to post.
