Group,
Telstra are offering 3 free months of MobileNet Access Fees. All you have do is... nothing. Then
Telstra will waive next months access fee, then waive it again 6 months later and then another free
month 6 months after that.
Great! You have 2 weeks to ring them and reject their freebie. Otherwise you are deemed to have
accepted their offer.

Here is the kicker (in fine print over the page) - you disconnect from Telstra or change carrier
(from 26th September) within the next 18 months you have to repay up to 2 of the 3 freebies.

Too bad if you are holiday, laid up or don't read the fine print over the next 2 weeks...something
fundamentally wrong here where you have to opt out to maintain your current contract conditions?

i think optus' yes thanks program is funnier.

you can go onto a 12 month contract for a car charger or earpiece etc.
bloody joke.

SFW - you have to pay back what you already would have paid anyways...

no loss at all to the consuemr.

there is no charge for disconection within the 18 months,

it is part of hte SFOA that you are deemed to have accepted in this manner.

optus operates this way too...

It is an incentive not to change after 6 months but before 18 months though
