My brother recently purchased a second hand VL commodre limited edition and
we've been having a hard time finding information on it.

The limited edition badge is on the glove box and is blue with silvre
writing, with a picture of the sydney opera house on it.

The car is white with a 5 litre v8.

anyone have any ideas on what kind of limited edition car this might be? A
fake one even?

I remember these - there was a VL and a VN edition as well - called
something like the "Limited Edition V8" and if I remember correctly they
were put out by the Sydney Holden Dealer Network rather than from the
factory, so I don't think they are individually numbered (as in a limited
run of 200 cars like some of the older HSV models etc). I think the VN
version got a bit of a bodykit as well, or at the very least the rear
spoiler from the VN SS, used to know a guy who had one.

I love the concept of the 'Limited Edition'. They're usually limited to how
many they can sell :-)
