thanx all for the replies to my previous post, really good information in
all that. thought i'd start a new thread cos it was getting abit hard to
find...

i dun mind spray painting it with enamel or 2pak paint as long as it comes
out good cos just taking the car apart to spray everything seperately is
going to be a drag in itself, so i wanna make sure that the paint is going
to last awhile.
and as long as it still doesn't look like a different shade of shit as when
i started it, i'd be happy.

but if i got it done by a "professional" anyone got any idea of cost in
terms of $$?

Between 2 and 10 grand depending on how ' professional' you want it and
how much you do yourself.
How much rust, dent repair etc needed.

$1500-$2000 if there was not much body work, possibly more if they have
to put it back together and pollish the chrome,
You may find somone who will do it for $800-$1000 if all panels are
prepared and ready to paint however they will be doing you a favour as
such...lol

.3mm spray gun and alot of time you will have it looking perfect
yourself after you screw it up once or twice however very hard todo with
such a fine tipped gun

I'm not going to suggest you do 2pak by yourself, while
it is as sweet as candy is is dangerous as Al mentioned.

Another option is to reaseach spray painting on the web
and do the preapation yourself. Getting a sexy finish
is all in the preparation - no matter what you use.
