Anyone here have experience with programming these remotes. I've done
everything the web site has said but still no work. It's as though the
remotes are a different frequency to the garage door/receiver motors.

Any help greatly appreciated.

My auto garage door opener works when the missus yells at me "get off your fat arse and

Getting after-market door (and gate) openers to work is a PITA. We have
a huge number of the things here and they always seem to play up. When
choosing an automatic door make sure you know before you buy it what
frequency it operates on so and the dip switch settings for your door.
Sounds like a silly thing but I do see funny things here. The dip switch
setting are like a combination lock unless you know beforehand you are
stuffed.

The last garage door I set up had the control unit that learnt the codes
from the remotes. Seemed fairly easy and it was a few minutes to set up
each unit. Side note, always use surge protectors on these units as they
seem overly vulnerable to power spikes. We have nasty, nasty power here
but 2 units in month with the the transformer blown is too much, one
unit had board damage as well. When the nearest service centre is 3000km
away protection is the key.

Actually Brad, surge protectors is something I would never have thought of
for the garage doors. Great idea with the low cost now of these boards.
These Boss are the same (in appearance anyway) as the original ones that
were set up with the installation. It appears as though I will have to pay
for a garage door "expert" to come out and give me the bad news.

Just for a short while BOSs brought in a 433.92mhz version in the same case. You need to open the remote it will have r
Written 303 or 433 in the top r/h corner. If you have the 433 version you can copy it with a duplicator. It is not available. .
If 303 then it is one of the easiest to code. Find the code set button. Up and over doors it is a small red buttom marked radio. This is on the motor head. On roller door it is under the silver boss panel. Press once & light flashes transmit the button you want to activate the door. The light goes out & resets. If lights are flashing it will not code until door is serviced. Remote fella
