It almost goes when turning right and becomes louder when turning left.
Mechanic thought it was wheel bearing and replaced them but it is still
there.
Going to have a look tomorrow to see if anything is rubbing or doesn't
seem right.
Just after ideas if anyone has had a similar problem that I should look at.
I would have said wheel bearing, but if your bloke has changed it then it
ain't it. I'd also think he would have picked up anything obvious while he
was doing so. You could check to see that it hasn't got an ABS sensor that's
rubbing on the slotted ring, but outside of that it's hard to say without
looking at the car or hearing the noise.

Nah it is only noisy when going over about 50k's and seems to get to its
noisiest after a few k's and everything is warm.

Could be the wheel bearing. Noise changes as agle of force changes to a
quieter part of the roller-track. Mine made a whirring npise due the wheel
had an impact which brinneled lies across the track(s)

Sounds like the pads have either worn too low, or there is grit in there,
but you said the mechy had it down,...sooooo :-)

What everyone else has said so far. (Outside chance that the old bearing
was so stuffed that it did enough damage to make the new one sloppy
straight away, but pretty improbable - it's not a Triumph after all!)
How about transferred noise from something worn out in the power steering
dept? Thrust variations could produce what you describe. It just depends
if the sound could seem to move that far! Might be worth a check anyway.
Other than that, going from past experience - admittedly Liberty not
Falcon - if all else fails at the front, give the REAR end a good check
over. We had a slightly out of round left rear tyre that made noises which
seemed for all the world to be coming from the front. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice everyone.
After a lot of elimination it turned out to be a slightly warped disc
and the lower part of the pad was hitting a lip in the inside of the face.
