Hi, just wondering if anyone has any tips on mods when a timing belt gets
replaced/repaired.

I have heard of gear driven replacements, but not too sure about the
cost/benefit of them.

What about any other front end mods ?

Any tips much appreciated.

- FYI timing belt seems (still hopefull, but not likely :>)to have gone. was
replaced at 100,000 kms. new replacement dead at 170,000 kms.

Stephen,
Try posing the same question on e-groups "4WD-enthusiasts"
Seems to be a high Landrover content of users there and have shown heeps of
enthusiasm in helping with questions posed in that group before.
Cheers,

You might try alt.fan.landrover - it has exclusively LR participants, and
from what I see, most correspondents know what they're about.

LR recommend replacement of the timing belt on the 200Tdi at about 80 000 k's which I have done on
mine. I've had no problems. I have heard about chain mods.
Try these Url's! Let me know how you go.
