You may have some knackered valve stem seals. Does it happen with fresh
oil or only when the oil is a bit old and due for a change?

Sounds like valve stem seals.
This is very general assuming it is petrol but may help.
If it blows smoke on hard accelleration it is generally compression (aka
rings).
If it blows smoke when backing off (say downhill) in a lower gear it is
generally valve stem seals.
More info about engine would help.

Has it done a lot of Klms?
Could be turbo seals.

Ah well that is a different story.
OK here goes:
White smoke: Possible fuel injection problem.
White/Blue smoke: Possible Fuel/Oil problem.
Black smoke: Over fueling/Low compression.
One very good possibility is that oil is getting in through the turbo(seals
ect).
You say that the commpression is OK so my bet it is one of two things.
1. Fuel Pump/Injection problem
2. Oil from turbo entering engine
Cheers

The turbo was removed ,check and repair by a specialized mechanic, and I
paid a lot of money for it.I think the turbo seals had been changed.
The engine has 250 000 kms! I
The only problem is that is consuming oil .I'm always refilling the Carter.

Thanks again

Sorry for my English

How much oil?
How many liters in 5000kls?
In between oil changes (5000K) I use about 2 litres in my Landcruiser
which is a 3B diesel.

Definitely excessive by a long way and also sounds like you need new
piston rings.
Is there a lot of fumes released when you remove the oil filler cap with
the engine running?

seal on the inlet side, try taking off a connection from the turbo and check
for oil entering the engine via inlet manifold, had a 2.3 mitzi turbo diesel
did the same thing replaced turbo oil seal made no difference, ended up
being worn piston groves and rings. hope this helps!!
