Take off the over sized nudge bar, this will raise the front 4foot....

A simple solution I've seen done on older cars is putting bigger (taller)
wheels and tyres on them. I dont know about a 98 Corolla though. I know that
(old) Toyota stud patterns accept Ford rims, but I'm thinking back many
years to rear wheel drive cars of the 70's.

Apart from that, buggered if I know.

Perhaps Shaddow, you could start with the largest set of tyres that will
fit under the guards without scrubbing. That will surely lift it an inch or
so.
I'm sure any suspension specialist could wack in a slighty taller set
of springs, or whatever is required on a 98 Corolla.

Good luck
Jon

If it's got normal coils on it, just take it to a reputable suspension
shop. They should be able to reset the springs a bit higher.
A cheaper option might be to fit spacers under the springs. You'd
have to be careful though that the springs were still positively
located - wouldn't be very helpful if one fell out. You would
probably have to make new spring cups.

I'm not sure what you can do if it's got those mcpherson strut type
things on it, though even those may be able to have spacers fitted.

...another thought - you'll have to check how much of the CV shafts is
still engaged in the gearbox if you lift it. Would also be quite sad
if you twisted the end of the splines off if not enough is left
engaged.

Put some 14inch rims on with the tallest tyres you can fit, if you have
coils all round, get them reset by a spring works, you may be able to get
shocks an 9inch longer too. Torsion bars can sometimes be readjusted.

The downsides of fitting larger diameter wheels and/or tyres on it is
that it will adversly affect the performance and fuel consumption of
the car. It will also put the speedo out by a bit. If you can live
with that, that's the easiest option.

My car was raised by putting on 31" tyres, and the axle under the rear
leaf springs.. the front end is another story completely..

Thought about taking it to a suspension place? And maybe diffrent
rims/tyres as somebody else mentioned?

G'day Shaddow,
just whack the turbo off your old rolla on it, and a good bash plate
under the body for her bumps.

Then she won't need to worry about the little bit of noise when she goes
over things.

Hope this helps,
Peter
