Congrates John

I have enjoyed you Bushwalking in Australia book, I am sure this is
just as good.

I hope to walk Larapinta in a few years when my kids are old enough to
enjoy it.

Matt :)

Just picked up a copy of South West Tasmania today.

Based on a quick skim, it appears to be the best edition yet.
Interestingly, the trend of the previous couple of editions of
deleting routes that Tas Parks may have prefered people not walk
appears to have been reversed. For example, Lake Fortuna, Moraine
Epsilon (nee Moraine E), Forest Chute and reference to the Arndell
Falls camp site are all back. I wonder whether this is represents a
change in Parks' policy, or a change in attitude of the author.

Also it's less discouraging about some of the less popular routes.
For example I was put off walking the Huon Track for years due to
John's description as "soul destroying" - now it's described as
"pleasant walking". I finally walked it last summer and loved it.

The map of Frenchmans Cap actually has Daverns Cavern marked in
roughly the right place!

Didn't like the heavy gloss paper, though I suppose that's the
negative of colour printing. Most people will carry photo-copies
anyway.
