On ABC news (3LO) this morning, they reported that a helicopter crashed
at Moorabbin. The occupants escaped with minor injuries.

Anyone know what happened? Thankfully, the crew is OK. The news report
also stressed that it was not linked to the fuel problem.

.. Bigotry is being certain of something you know nothing about.

The mid-day report said that they were practising autorotations when there
was a problem with the fuel. The report I saw said that fuel may have been
a problem. But then again they may have been beating up the story. The
helo (R22) was pretty much trashed with it ending up on its side. It is
interesting that while practising auto's they probably had executed several
without any problem (dont know for sure) and then the real thing happened
and they could walk away from it. A lot to be said for practise.

Cheers

Marty

Operated by The Helicopter Group, the Hughes 300 was the casualty of an auto
practice, nothing to do with the fuel problem.

Have fun explaining why the authoritys have seized the engine.
