I've just come across a group of photographs I took from King's Park of
Concorde when she visited Perth several years ago.
Can anyone help me with the date (even the year?)

Hi Paul, did that 737 ever get into Jandakot?

Care to share the photos, I'd be interested to see them?

I'm not completely au fait with Photobucket, so let me know if this
works or not. Not very high-class pics - the jolly thing wouldn't
stop still long enough for me to pose it against the fluffy white cloud
I had in mind, but I tried!

Not sure which of the dates Paul quoted apply, but I believe it was the
first visit?

I trust the blob behind #4 is a photographic blemish and not a bit
fallen off?

No Rob, these were scanned from the original prints. No dates anywhere.

If anyone thinks it's worth persuing, I could scan several pics from
negatives from the same roll of the Perth city area taken while waiting
for Concord. Just possibly some knowledgeable Perthite could make a
guess of the date from the state of city building construction, which
was pretty vigourous during the subject era.

Ok

They also printed the date on the back of prints - it was only a idea
which may have given some clue to the date.

First flight into Perth was 985 in which case the flight would have been
from Bahrain on the 13-14th February 1985 and taking off again from Bahrain
to Perth on the 15th. Last flight that landed and departed Perth was 1989
and that was a 40min refueling stop only.

I'll see if I can find more info. There appears to be either a bushfire or
burn-off in the hills in one shot, but burning off isn't done during
February. Feb 1985 particularly around the dates of the Concorde visit was a
period of very hot temperatures.

Ring a bell?
