A moving moment

Hello friends and neighbours, moms and dads, boys and girls -

Robyn and I have decided to take advantage of our special eligibility to become Canadian citizens. My mom was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, so I applied and secured Canadian citizenship and a passport. Which means I can now sponsor her for Permanent Residency. Difficult decision, but we sum it up by looking at the calendar and realizing we won’t live to see the next New Deal.

We also decided to live in British Columbia and just bought a home in Victoria. We have new phone numbers, below, and a new address effective on our return from New Zealand April 23, 2026 when we’ll move in. Our old phone numbers are no longer ringing, so please update our records.

So begins our next chapter, which we’re still editing. I asked the installer of our new security system in Victoria “is there any problem here with porch pirates?” His response “What’s that?"

BC is a beautiful place to live but I'm sorry current events have convinced you to leave US . My wife also wanted to go to Italy after Last November, but I really felt a need to stay and add my voice and vote as well as a few bucks to try and change things.

It seems like the perfect storm with the checks and balances the Founders put into place all caving in to our current administration . Amazing to me Senators and congressmen think keeping their job is more important than upholding the constitution . The US has overcome bigger challenges in the past so we will see what happens, but the damage done to the US reputation will take many years to repair.
