I will be having new carpet installed in my Aurora (#087) and since my original emergency brake boot is missing, I will need another. I did purchase one off eBay but it does not appear it will fit properly.

What are others doing for a replacement? I suppose the upholstery shop could make one but thought I am not the first that has needed a new boot. So, what do you folks suggest as a replacement??? Help please, Bob.

The trim shop that is making your carpet should be able to sew up a leather boot.

Thanks for tip on '83 Mustang! Could not find one new or used, talked with upholstery guy and it is not an issue for him to make one - most likely go with that. Went to another shop for estimate, price for labor-only was at least $1500, could go up a few hundred if problems along the way. Carpet cost was around $200. I choked over the labor cost - passed on him doing it. Current estimate is going to be around $1,000, have used him before and he is very good. What are others paying for carpet installation in cabin and trunk areas???

I recently replaced all the interior carpet which in ours, was wool. Way more money than the normal plastic weave auto carpet. As the interior is made up of about ten non molded pieces, most edged with leather, it's not cheap.
