WHAT IS HAPPENING?????  The bottom is falling out of the market.  This car sold for $41,000.00!!!!  I'm certainly not looking to sell mine, but this is sort of alarming.

I do not agree with this comment. Aurora Cobras only fairly recently began to show higher sales figures.
The three cars sold on BAT (Bring A Trailer) finally brought nice prices befitting the marque! Please keep in
mind this website has gained an appropriate following and is probably the best of its kind. If one were
to compare the four cars in question there are some things that were unique to this 1984 Aurora:
*Not being very familiar with PCARMARKET I'd say it's main business is with Porsches, though they list a large
variety of vehicles. BAT has a much larger listing.
*This 84 Aurora had a substantial amount of work performed to get it in useable shape. Some potential buyers
find that to be a negative factor.
*I'm not being critical but parts of the car showed a life of some use yet the history stated "not driven much". There
was a lot of rust underneath and on parts of the engine so the storage means were not friendly. Most of the other
cars we're comparing with were in good shape everywhere.
*A short list of some other issues follow: Original (?) Metric TRX tires (sidewalls cracking) and mating metric wheels,
paint issues on trunk, interior worn.
Again- not being critical as this car had a great future and yet to be attractive to buyers some work had to be
performed. I think the tasks taken on were smart and the seller knew a complete refurbishment would not be
    cost appropriate.
BTW- I've had my Aurora for 13 years and do all the work myself so I'm a little biased about detail. Most Cobra owners
seem to be particular so our cars must be in tip top shape to command the best price.
Thanks for reading and lets keep up our enthusiastic ownership going!!
