Green Lights is going to have a window in downtown!

Hi,

Maureen Gasek is going to do a window for the Green Fest in the downtown area.  As she says below, she will need help with the execution once she does the brain work.  I hope some of you will show your creative side when we get this rolling.  Also, she asked for plastic water bottles, so please save them up.

Also, if anyone wants to become more active in the Green Fest, we are looking for a couple of good people to join the executive committee.  We need help with hospitality (the greeters booth), public relations, speakers (mostly help with getting the contracts signed and keeping all in order) and anything you might want to do.

Can you ask the group to save plastic water bottles if they use them.  I also need caps and lids. Planning on doing a sculpture on board.  Willneed help with production once it is plotted out. Looking for a creative team.

this is great news that you are taking a store front.  We will help you all we can.  I have the banners in my basement, if that would be helpful.  also lots of yardsigns.  One poster.  anything else you can think of that I might be able to help with let me know.  I have pictures we could blow up.  and I will ask the rest of the committee for any help you need.

 

I told the committee that you are with us in spirit, but you haven't been able to make the meetings.  they are all excited to know you are still with us.  Our next meeting is going to be on Froday, November 18th.  Maybe you can make it then.

@Maureen: Is this the water bottle project from Fox River Academy that we did at the Yorkville Environmental Fair and open house? :) I have a TON of bottles, both small water bottles and large 2 and 3-liter bottles that can be used for the project.

Also, count me in to help, with both the window design, prep work, and any other item associated.  :)   I mentioned at our Friday Green Lights meeting that I could assist with the downtown window stuff; if you're having trouble coordinating the meeting times with your schedule, I can always fill you in and help communicate ideas back and forth.

I'm really excited about this! Again, please let me know if I can help with this. :)

If you have bottles great.  I have some ideas in mind with bottles and other recyled materials but need to see what building we have to work with.  I want to get a team and then have a meeting on ideas.  Depending on the space  I want to do a 2d and some 3d work to create depth.  Just thoughts at this point.  Need to get the team going.
